A partnership between the City of Spoleto and Trenitalia to promote the city of the Festival through the communication channels of the railway company of the FS Italiane Group, but also a co-marketing project to encourage the use of train for tourism and cultural purposes.
What was signed between the municipal administration and Trenitalia is an agreement – the proposal of which was approved by the executive led by mayor de Augustinis – which will allow Trenitalia passengers to obtain discounts on the Spoleto Card, the integrated ticket that allows you to visit the city’s museum system, access special guided tours or obtain discounts at participating hotels and commercial facilities.
The Spoleto Card museums, and more generally the city of Spoleto, will thus enjoy special visibility on Trenitalia’s media and promotional channels: the Trenitalia website, the Region’s self-service ticket offices, the bulletin boards of the main stations of Umbria, the train displays in the local network.
The City of Spoleto will instead undertake to conduct, on its own media channels – website, social media, information points and ticket offices of the city museums – an information campaign to encourage the use of the train as an ideal and convenient means to reach the city and its museums and cultural emergences.
“What we have decided to implement with Trenitalia is an important synergy – said the Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Spoleto Ada Urbani – which will ensure a widespread promotion of Spoleto and its cultural heritage, thanks to an extended, effective media network that will help us increase visitors and tourists. Besides being significant in terms of visibility, this operation, which encourages the use of trains, goes in the desired direction of sustainability and respect for the environment, in line with our vocation as an EMAS certified city”.
