This year, in agreement with the City of Spoleto, two quotations from the book Contro la paura, by Vittorio Demicheli, Giulio Massobrio, Luigi Narbone (Baldini+Castoldi, 2016) are proposed as the main themes of the works.

The first one (p. 184): “Every war is a clash of cultures that often begins as a close confrontation of ideas, worldviews and interpretations of reality. Every war, therefore, is also won in the field of culture. The contrast to fears is based on the knowledge of the conceptual apparatus of those that affect us, but also of the people and communities with whom we want to dialogue”.

The second, p. 117: “Preventing infections is certainly possible, just as it is possible to prevent their presence and their continuous modification from taking on the characteristics of a threat […]. We should remember that the main factors that determine human health are income, education and work, and that first of all we must try to strengthen these factors before concentrating social resources on the purchase of health goods”.
