A showcase that will be repeated every year, targeting theatre and dance operators, programmers, artists and the general public interested in discovering the newest creation of emerging Italian companies.

All performances will tale place at Cantiere Oberdan (Piazza San Gabriele dell’Addolorata) and will be live streamed from: lamamaumbria.org, lamama.org, howlround.com, anothertv.net and youtube.

Program:

March 4 @ 9.30 pm (CET, Central European time)
Collettivo Cinetico – 10miniballetti
concept, choreography, dance: Francesca Pennini
dramaturgy, light design: Angelo Pedroni, Francesca Pennini
music: J.S. Bach, B. Britten, Cher, G. Frescobaldi, G. Ligeti, H. Purcell, F. Romitelli, J. Strauss.
assistance: Carmine Pariseco
co-production: Le Vie dei Festival, CollettivO CineticO
resident company: Teatro Comunale di Ferrara

An anthology of dances balancing between geometry and swirl where the aerial element is the paradigm for a reflection on the boundaries of control.
Currents and storms, air fans and drones, birds and gran-jets become allegories of the relationship between choreography and dance in an investigation that bounces from the repetition to improvisation, from writing to interpretation.Among contortions and asphyxiating efforts it is triggered a respiratory exchange that mixes the volumes between body and space, audience and stage in a suspended and floating geography.

March 5 @ 9.30 pm (CET, Central European time)
Dispensa Barzotti – Homologia
Special nomination: Premio Scenario 2015
by: Rocco Manfredi, Riccardo Reina, Alessandra Ventrella
with: Rocco Manfredi e Riccardo Reina
direction: Alessandra Ventrella
light design: Emiliano Curà
music and sound: Dario Andreoli

An eternal silence punctuated by habit. An old man, alone, in the vacuum, in constant drowsiness.
Something comes down from the attic and awakens this numb body.
Welcome to Homologia.
Homologia is both a «studio of man» and a «studio of what is identical».
A telescopic vision applied to human in the effort to produce careful analysis.
A big illusion.
An impossible birthday party animated by hundreds of abortive attempts.

March 6 @ 5.30 pm (CET, Central European time)
INC InNprogressCollective – toPRAY
choraography: Afshin Varjavandi
dancers: Luca Calderini, Mattia Maiotti, Jenny Mattaioli, Elia Pangaro.
sound design: Angelo Benedetti
light design: Fabio Galeotti
Project: La MaMa Umbria International

For everyone there is a moment in life when we learn to search within ourselves. toPRAY is a long and narrow passage to the human soul. We move through the symbols we have ascribed to what we cannot see, to give life a different value. They say that ‘we have a soul’. But what does it mean to ‘pray’? Perhaps our very doing is an act of worship: the contemporary man acts on the body to draw a worship. What about if the most sacred thing we possess is our imagination that allows us in the course of our life to discover our soul?

<!--:it-->Mostra fotografica: SCHWETZINGEN by Horst Hamann<!--:--><!--:en-->Photographic Exhibition: SCHWETZINGEN by Horst Hamann<!--:--> @ Palazzo Leonetti Luparini | Spoleto | Umbria | Italia

From 23 June to 30 July, 2016 Palazzo Leonetti Luparini (Via del Municipio) will host the photographic exhibition SCHWETZINGEN by Horst Hamann.

The exhibition is organized jointly by the cities of Spoleto and Schwetzingen (Germany) in the frame of their sistership.

The partnership between Schwetzingen and Spoleto started in 2005, and the focus of this year’s celebration is Schwetzingen’s first-ever written documentation, i.e. the Lorsch Codex, dating to 766 AD. The exhibition Schwetzingen by Horst Hamann is but one of the initiatives included, and features photos of the city, its castle and its park, that catch the German city’s most magical and charming nuances.

Worldwide-famous photographer Horst Hamann’s New York Verticals, an actual milestone in the history of photography, won him a personal exhibition at the New York City Museum, the first time ever for a German photographer.

Defined as “the most followed Italian poet on the net”, Arminio will animate a series of events, in Spoleto and Sant’ Anatolia di Narco, focused on the relationship between poetry and society (There is a need for poetry, for the sacred that in recent years has been neglected) and on the need to recover spaces and regain possession of silence (Being revolutionary means taking away more than adding, slowing down more than accelerating; it means giving value to silence, light, fragility and sweetness), through activities dedicated to art, walks to discover reopened spaces and laboratories of “village storytelling”.

The event is organized by the Municipalities of Spoleto and Sant’ Anatolia di Narco, together with Cittadinanza Attiva, the Museum of hemp and the Municipal Library “G. Carducci “.
