This is a true, or almost true, story that could take place anywhere, in any city of the world. But one day that space is taken away from them to build a large gambling center owned by the local boss who dominates the entire city. From here, the story develops with their parents and LIBERA association coming to support the children’s action.

Organized by Comune di Spoleto, University of Perugia, Ragni family, Hyla Naturalistic Studio, WildUmbria Association and co-funded by the Cassa di Risparmio Spoleto Foundation.
The event is organized by the City of Spoleto in collaboration with the Ragni Family, the Consorzio Bonifica Umbra, the Academy of the Ottusi and will be attended by scholars, researchers and representatives of public, regional and national scientific institutions.
A year after his death, even in this way we want to pay tribute to Bernardino Ragni (Spoleto 1946-2018) who spent his life studying and learning about wildlife. A passion born as a boy that was then transferred to his work as a professor at the University of Perugia in order to protect and maintain the animal species and the environment in which they live.
Bernardino Ragni, former researcher of animal biology and professor of environmental zoology and fauna management at the University of Perugia, was an expert in biology and conservation of tetrapods, sustainable use and conservation of living natural resources, landscape and territory. Author and co-author of over 160 scientific and specialist publications, he was a member of the Species Survival Commission and of the IUCN’s Cat Specialist Group, The World Conservation Union, and founder of the Society of Environmental Biology.

OF ARCHAEOLOGY AND OTHER STORIES
Cycle of meetings at the Archaeological Museum and Roman Theatre of Spoleto
The new cycle of meeting organised at the National Archaeological Museum and Roman Theatre in Spoleto by the director Fabio Pagano is entitled Di archeologia e altre storie (Of archaeology and other stories).
Wednesday, January 23, at 17, Valerio Chiaraluce, Luca Donnini, Massimiliano Gasperini (Astra non-profit organization) will talk about the latest findings at the archaeological site of Carsulae (***postponed to February 6***).
This meeting will be followed on February 20 by Ma da dove venivano questi Longobardi? (But where did these Lombards come from?) with Fabio Pagano, on March 20 Quando Luca Signorelli lavorò a Spoleto (When Luca Signorelli worked in Spoleto) with Federica Zalabra (Mibac – Direzione Generale Musei), on April 17 Decorazione scultorea del Teatro Romano di Spoleto. (Sculptural decoration of the Roman Theatre of Spoleto) with Giulia Rocco of the University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’. The meetings will end on May 15 with Gabriella Sabatini (Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio dell’Umbria) and Luca Donnini, who will focus on Spoleto (PG) – Via Monterone. Il tratto della porta ubica e delle mura civiche romane. Nuove acquisizioni. (Spoleto (PG) – Via Monterone. The stretch of the ancient gate and of the Roman city walls. New acquisitions.)
In 1999 a seventeen-year-old girl was miraculously saved, thanks to a liver transplant, after taking half a tablet of ecstasy. This small amount of drugs, taken that one single time, was enough to provoke an almost life-threatening, toxic fulminant hepatitis in the young girl. Giorgia Benusiglio has since decided to turn that dramatic experience into a life lesson, engaging in a long activity of prevention and awareness against drugs, speaking – in books, publications and in many participations in famous TV and radio programs – of her fortunes and the risks related to the use of narcotics. Giorgia Benusiglio graduated in Primary Education Sciences at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, embarking on an educational and specialist path that made her an expert on these issues, writing books, taking care of projects, acting as testimonial for important organizations and leading more than 2000 meetings with hundreds of thousands of kids all over Italy.
Giorgia Benusiglio will be in Spoleto on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th January to meet kids and parents. The event, which falls within the framework of initiatives in favour of city schools on the theme of health education and addiction prevention, is entitled I Won’t Quit and is organized, in collaboration with the Spoleto Social Sport association and the R. Lanari Police School, in a cycle of three meetings at the presence of Giorgia Benusiglio and the Captain of the Guardia di Finanza Luigi D’Onofri. Two meetings, Friday 25 and Saturday 26 January, at the Auditorium of the Police School, will be reserved for students of the III classes of secondary schools of the first degree and classes I, II, III, IV and V of secondary schools of the second degree. Open to the public, and especially addressed to parents, is the third meeting, scheduled for Friday, January 25 at 17.30 at the City Library “Giosuè Carducci” at Palazzo Mauri.

THE MAGNIFICENT IMPOSTOR
Teatro Laboratorio Brescia
by and with Alessandra Domeneghini
directed by Sergio Mascherpa
“What would you have done in my place?” This is the question that Giorgio Perlasca addresses to his interlocutor, to raise many other questions… Would I be able to oppose the horrible facts I am witnessing? Would I risk my life to save unknown people? Would I be able to draw on that part of myself that tries to fight injustice? It is precisely because of the many reflections that his story manages to generate that we want to talk about him again, about the “magnificent impostor”: and we would like to do so because the times we are living in are difficult times, and they often require us to appeal to the moral strength that we carry inside ourselves.

HOT ANTHOLOGY
Literary aperitifs with a high erotic rate
The event entitled Hot Anthology – literary aperitifs with a high erotic rate, organized by the Theodelapio School of Theatre, is dedicated to the reading of famous pages of erotic fiction and poetry.
Now in its fourth year, thanks to the success of past editions, Hot Anthology has chosen to pay homage to the art of Anton Chekhov.
The Teodelapio Association, now in its 17th year, has dedicated its activities mainly to theatre teaching, through workshops held by its operators in schools in Spoleto – from primary school to high school – and through the establishment of a theatre school for young people and adults, promoted by the Municipality and directed by Pietro Biondi and Anna Leonardi. At the same time it has carried out an intense cultural activity in the field of Theatre, Entertainment and Communication through regular meetings with scholars and protagonists of the Italian scene, cinema and television.
